my friend wanted to go to Stanley to celebrate her birthday and had us vote on either german, spanish or seafood… and tada! the boathouse won!
the boathouse has a great view of the waterfront and the murray house…and it also has free wifi! (great for early arrivers!)
my friend and i decided to share: a large seafood bucket (prawns, mussels, clams) with white wine garlic cream sauce.. it was worth it cause the seafood was piled past the rim of the bucket! the seafood was ok fresh (no extreme fishy taste) but the clams and mussels were kinda small.. and again, the seafood platters in vancouver are better (fresher and of better quality)
and a salmon, crayfish ravioli…. ravioli was ok cause the filling was kinda dry.. and there’s not enough sauce..
also, the garlic bread that comes with the pasta and seafood bucket were really bad… i’ve never had soggy garlic bread… cause they’re supposed to be crispy…
Death by Chocolate… lava cake!! their lava cake’s better than the ones i make! there’s a lot of chocolate that oozes out.. and there’s ice- cream to pair with the chocolate!
and a shoutout to the “forever 19” birthday girl: HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTINA!!
boathouse is kinda overrated..great location and great view.. but the food wasn’t exceptionally good…
FAIM? OUI OUI!!
