Azabusabo 麻布茶房 – Hong Kong

after dinner @ ootoya.. we decided to have dessert.. we originally wanted to go another dessert place but couldn’t find it.. and eneded up Azabusabo…

i first went to azabusabo with my foodie aunt 2 ish years ago.. even before i moved to hk….anyways

this is their famous icecream with sweet potato… i like this combination because the ice-cream is cold but the sweet potato is warm..

this time.. we also tried…

caramel milk slush…. i guess we didn’t mix it up well.. so we ended up with a lot of syrup at the bottom and it was really sweet… btw.. the ice does take like milk!

Ice Monster – Taipei

i became an ice lover (after falling in love with Tong Bak Fu’s marshmellow ice) and when i went to taipei, i searched every where for ice dessert!

to continue my eating rampage in the Yong Kang area (Du Xiao Yue and Ding Tai Fung are also in the area)…i found Ice Monster!

Ice Monster is famous for its shaved iced and for having sorbet on top of the ice!

i ordered the mango combo and the shaved ice was topped with a fair amount of mango, a scoop of mango sorbet and a drizzle of evaporated milk…

a closer look!!

the mango sorbet was really good (not sour) and the mango pieces were a perfect accompaniment  for the ice

however.. if i had to choose between shaved ice or marshmellow ice, i would choose marshmellow ice because it has flavour (unlike the shaved ice which you have to eat with the mango or the ice would be tasteless)

Tong Bak Fu 糖百府 – Hong Kong

i’m don’t like to eat ice or slush..so when my foodie aunt suggested to go to Tong Bak Fu (糖百府) ..i was like..eh?

there was a lineup..and it was a bit cold (it was last march). and i wasn’t thrilled with the idea of waiting in the cold for ice..

to be safe.. i ordered the chocolate ice with red beans and mango… and omg! the ice didn’t taste like ice cause it tasted like ice cream!! it’s called “snow flake ice” so the ice flakes just melts in your mouth!! delicious!!

so now.. i’m obsessed with eating ice..and during our mong kok street food journey yesterday, we went to Tong Bak Fu and order green tea and guava!
