I planned the first full day in the city around food (no surprise here). The plan was to have breakfast at the hotel, work that off by walking the entire length of the High Line, have lunch and dessert in West Village, work that off by walking to Soho, have afternoon dessert, take a break eating by visiting Wall Street 9/11 Memorial, then finally, have dinner. What a jam packed day!
High Line!
I love the idea of an elevated park in a urban concrete jungle.. wish Hong Kong has this….
After walking the entire High Line, we continued to West Village for lunch at The Spotted Pig.
The Spotted Pig is one of the most influential restaurants in the world. Why? cause it started the whole gastropub trend. O! and it has one Michelin star.
The interior decor reminds me of a pub in some quaint British countryside.
There are so many pig figurines!
Since we were still stuffed from breakfast, we didn’t order much.
soup of the day: tomato soup… kind of sour..
Chargrilled Burger with Roquefort Cheese & Shoestring Fries.…. mom and I shared the famous burger. Unfortunately, I didn’t know Roquefort is blue cheese.. so I didn’t really like this… The patty was juicy and the shoestring fries are like hickory sticks!
Once again, I made friends with people sitting next to us. Both of them are foodies and gave us lots of food recommendations! Thanks!!!
FAIM? OUI OUI!!!
