Arzabal – Madrid, Spain

After Estado Puro, we headed back to our hotel for a siesta and then shopped on Calle Serrano.  Since we were already in the area of Salamanca, we decided to walk a bit to Arzabal for dinner.

Arzabal is a more upscale and modern tapas bar and it seems to be quite popular with the stylish and young Madrileños.The place was packed by 9pm!

salmorejo….this version has jamon and egg..

tortilla

croquettes with jamon iberico and croquettes with boletus…  yumm! the croquettes with boletus had such a strong taste!seafood pasta (it’s like seafood paella but with pasta instead)… this was so good! The pasta was al dante, the seafood was fresh and I love the sauce!

espeto sardina (marinated sardines)… the sardines were huge and very meaty!

torrija… It’s a Spanish dessert made with bread dipped in milk and then fried.  This was heavenly! There’s sweetened milk flowing out of each bite of the bread!

Although this meal was kind of expensive (80+ euros), my stomach was extremely satisfied!

FAIM? OUI OUI!!
