Ayung Terrace @ Four Seasons Resort Sayan – Bali, Indonesia

After months of stressing about final exams, I could finally unwind and relax.. IN BALI! To see more of the island, we first stayed in Ubud (central Bali) and then moved down to Jimbaran Bay (southern Bali).

Breakfast’s served in Ayung Terrace, at the main hotel building, overlooking the Ayung river and the forest..it was a breathtaking view!

The following is a collection of all the breakfast food we ate over 4 days:

Fresh-squeezed Juice! Pineapple & Bali Lime, Guava, Watermelon, Papaya & Bali Lime

good morning!

pain au chocolat

Eggs Benedict..the first time I had it, the eggs were runny but the 2nd time, the eggs were overcooked so I had to ask for more Hollandaise sauce.

American breakfast

Japanese breakfast (Mirin-Grilled Salmon, rolled omelette, egg plant, deep fried tofu, miso soup, pickled vegetables)..

Korean breakfast (marinated beef, deep fried chicken, kimchi, vegetable soup)..

Indonesian bento breakfast (Fried Rice, Fried Noodles, Vegetable Pickled, Rice Porridge and Fried Banana)

Wok-Fried Crispy Chicken, Mushrooms and Vegetables with Hot Chili and Soft Scrambled Eggs.. this was really tasty!

fresh island fruits and yogurt  (clockwise: yellow watermelon, red watermelon, papaya, salak, melon, pineapple, bali lime and honeydew)..  This was my first time seeing and eating a yellow watermelon! The yellow watermelon isn’t as sweet as it’s red counterpart.  Salak is a native Bali fruit and it’s texture is somewhat like an apple, but harder.  All the fruits are so sweet!

The breakfast portions are so huge that we sometimes skipped lunch!

FAIM? OUI OUI!!
