The Eatery – Vancouver

My friend wanted to have Japanese food, and something other than Ajisai (since we always end up there.. thanks to me) so we went to The Eatery.

The Eatery is a fun place to eat at..I’ve been there twice and both times, I enjoyed the atmosphere more than the food..  There’s mashed up versions of Andy Warhol art on the walls, Astro-Boy and paper mache sea monsters hanging from the ceiling and neon signs that says “Miso Horny” and “Who’s Your Sushi Pimp.”

Gomae (spinach with sesame paste)… it’s ok.. kind of watery though

Tuna Tempura… this is the 1st time eating fried tuna.. and it’s pretty good.. cause the texture is that of raw tuna..

Eatery rolls.. I forgot what rolls we ordered! What sets the Eatery apart from the other Japanese restaurants is their rolls! The rolls are quite creative and had names like “Erotica” and “Drunken Monkey”. haha..

The Eatery gets major points for their funky decor… but not for the food,,
