mom and i had a mother-daughter tea yesterday at The Lounge @ The Four Seasons…
ordered the afternoon tea set for 2.. i had the flowery earl grey tea..but it didn’t taste flowery… mom ordered the lycee green tea and she said the tea was so fragrant and really liked it..
the 3-tiers! there’s quite a lot of food!
savouries… quite innovate but i didn’t really like the pepper savoury (black bread with the orangey- red glob on top)
scones… one of the better ones for afternoon tea… it was served warm (yay), wasn’t that crumbly and the jam was wonderful….. mom usually doesn’t like apricot jam but she really liked this one!
sweets…. the sweets weren’t as impressive as the savouries… but i really like the custard topped with pineapple and crunchy chocolate..very unique combination and had different textures…
and what i really like about four seasons afternoon tea is that there’s dessert refills!
a server comes around with a tray which has different desserts than the ones of the 3-tier.. so i had a hard time picking! i ended up picking up cheese-cake like cheese with cinnamon on top and mom picked a puff pastry ball (filled with fruit cream inside!) interesting!
i really like how the food is so innovative and another plus factor is that there’s someone playing the piano! great ambiance!
